Taking Shape: Handbuilding Class
Just your hands, clay, and a bit of creative exploration.
In this handbuilding class, you’ll learn how to shape, sculpt, and form clay using just your hands and simple tools. We’ll explore foundational techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building to create functional or decorative pieces—think mugs, trays, candleholders, or small sculptures.
This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly class where the focus is on process over perfection. You’ll get to slow down, follow your curiosity, and create something truly one-of-a-kind.
Finished pieces will be fired and glazed for you, ready for pickup in about 4–6 weeks.
Whether you’re new to clay or returning to a practice you love, this is a great space to experiment, play, and reconnect with the grounding nature of making by hand.
No prior experience required. Class fee includes white clay and all other tools, materials, and glazes. Clay upgrades are available during class.
Curiosity and creativity welcome.
